First Sibling Story Read

Tonight Katy wanted to ready Peter Cottontail. She brought it downstairs from her room and gave it to her mom to read. Noah saw the book and "borrowed" it from Katy. As things were about to unravil, I ask Noah if he would like to read the book to Katy. He said "sure". I put Katy up on the chair next to him, he flipped open to a random page and started concentrating on the words at the top. After a few seconds of look, he turns to me and ask, "Dad, what is this word". I tell him (Peter, in this case). He then proceeds to step through each word on the page, asking me to tell him what most of the words are, but dutifly repeating each of them for Katy's sake. The smaller words on the page, like "open", "down", and "in" he recognized and read without asking me for help. He made it through 2 pages before getting tired of reading. I was astounded by his interest in knowing what the words were and how well he understood how the words on the page flowed. Definately a proud father moment!
