Politics and 6 year olds

As the election unfolded last night, Sara and I ask Noah about his opinions on the presidential race. He looked contemplative for a few seconds, the offered his assessment with full conviction.

"Obama eats children"

Half shocked.. half choking back laughter, we inquired why he believed that.  He stated that his cousin told him so :).

After recovering from this statement, Noah then offered "I would vote for Obama anyway, though".  This again surprised us.  When ask why, it was because Obama won in the Nickelodean  election, so he was voting with the winner (Noah really likes to be on the winning team :)).

I was impressed with Noah interest in the election and his general knowledge of the topic.  It seems his school has done a good job of covering the election process.  He liked the electorial vote maps and thought it was some kind of game where the goal was to get "270 points".  Not so far from the truth.
