On Friday I helped with Noah's class in the his school's Jogathon. I served as a lap count for 2 of the boys in his class. When it was time to meet the kids and take them out to the track, all of the lap counters when into Noah's class to meet the students they would be working with.
When I met the 2 boys that I was counting laps for, Noah came over to introduce me to his friends. Noah did this with flare by stating "This is my dad. He is the Funniest Dad in the World". I was quite surprised by this.... not realizing that Noah thought of me that way. Of course, he turned to look at me immediately and followed up by saying "Dad, do something funny". At this point I froze, tempted to do something funny, but feeling it might encourage future silly behavior in the class, I decided not to "do something funny" at that moment.
I guess I'm atleast providing Noah and example of fun. I guess that is good :).
PS. Noah ran 24 laps which totaled 3 miles in 45 minutes. I am extremely proud of the little fella. It was raining pretty hard for over half the event to boot.
