While playing in the yard today, Katy seems to have agrevated a wasp living in our basketball goal. It decided our petite 5 year old was a threat to it, and gave her a nice sting on the jaw to teach her a lesson.
Right after it happened, Katy was crying hysterically…. I think not sure what would happen to her. After collecting her, giving her a hug and bring her inside, she calmed down to a normal level of crying. After a few minutes of ice pack and some benzocane on the sting spot, the crying had stopped and Katy states, “Dad, it doesn’t hurt as much now”. Now she is back to normal, playing with one of her friends.
I’m very proud of Katy… she handled the whole incident very bravely.
