Noah likes handwriting... What?!?!

As I was doing the bedtime wind-down routine with Noah, I ask him to rate his day on a 1 to 10 scale. Normally he isn't too talkative about his day, but this seemed to intrigue him.

Now the interesting part. He said he was going to give it a "5", but moved it up to a "6" because today was a handwriting day at school. He said that he really liked handwriting and that he got to do some today as part of his school work. He even ask for us to get a "handwriting" book like they had at school (not an ABC book.. not sure what that is).

This is an amazing thing to hear from Noah. He has always had a challenge with his fine hand motor skills and has always hated writing. Generally he is behind is peers at writing. To hear him say it was the highlight of his day is pretty amazing... and worthy of many kudos to his 1st grade teacher!
