The Mythical Creature Guy - Noah

So, Noah recently expressed new interested in Magic: The Gathering collectable card game.  I showed it to him about a year ago and he thought it was neat, but kind lost interest after a few games.  Well, he found a few sets of booster cards from Christmas he had gotten, and opened them and was pretty interested in the cards he got.  One was a Mystic Rare, which he though uas pretty cool.  So he wanted to play again...

Well.. and play he did.  He did a great job and played pretty well on his own. I provided some mentoring on a few hands he played, but for the most part he was able to think about creature and attacks, and even used spells and instants to buff his characters are certain times.  he ended up beating me, which made him pretty pleased.

Being Noah, while he was waiting for me to come play, sat down and created a "magic help" guide on a sheet of paper.  It has a place to put your deck of cards, and some special spaces which allow you to choose them and allow you to do stuff like "shuffle your cards".  Pretty neat. Most interesting, however was that he made a little sketch of a magic card of his own design.  I thought that was pretty neat.  It even had its own special attacks.

I mentioned to Noah that there was actually a tool that would let you make your own MTG card.  He was all over that.  So after about an hour or consulting with him, I give you the latest MTG card, Noah.  Who is a creature of type "Mythical Creature - Guy"

That's awesome. Our boys really got into M:TG a while ago. It's cute to see what the enthusiasm of youth plus having way more time on their hands than we do can accomplish!

Our 12-year-old (can you believe THAT?) has been entertaining himself making his own cards too.
