Noah's Waterslide - 3rd grade Simple Machine

Introducing Noah's Waterslide! 3rs graders have to make a simple machine project and this is Noah's invention. It is a Waterslide, like you find at amusement park, but instead of climbing stairs to get back up the Waterslide, Noah made a simple machine (Archimedes) screw to convey the people up. Those from the Georgia may recognize this as a grain auger :).

It worked pretty well. We use beads as the "people". There is some loss of people falling back down the screw because the fins are not perfectly cu.t. Not a bad project from a time perspective and the kids can do or help many parts
