Roller skating

My pedicure, which granted was already starting to chip, is now completely destroyed and my toes hurt. Take this little bit of advice, do not wear open toed shoes while teaching small children to roller skate. That being said, the kids had a blast at a recent birthday party at Skate World. Neither had ever skated before and after a good 30m or so both kids were doing well. Our (Chris and I) backs however are another story.

My favorite part was toward the end of the party, they turned out the overhead lights and had some disco spot lights going. The boys were given swords that glowed and the girls were given twinkling tiaras. How fun is that? All these boys on skates were beating on each other while the girls held hands and twinkled like princesses. Adorable.

I've heard Aunt Jeanne may be willing to take them back some day. Please do not wear your open-toed Kate's.

Aunt Jeanne will indeed take them again. But I won't be wearing Kates. I'll be wearing skates of my own. :)
