So it seems that Harry Potter was a hit. Noah ask to watch the rest of Harry Potter this morning, and was willing to forego beach time. Very cool.
After breakfast today, I took the kids on a short walk along the King's Trail towards A'bay. We looked in a few tide pools, took a few pictures, and picked up a few shells. The kids were not overly enhusiastic about the hike, not realizing it was over "rough" terrain (some rocks and coral) and it was somewhat "boring". Ok.... back to the lagoon with you then :).
We ended up buying some beach toys today since the kids were having such a good time digging in the sand. The kids played in the lagoon for a while. After lunch, we decided to mix it up by taking them over to the sand pool, which is a special sand area which is attached to one of the large, freshwater pool at the Hilton. That proved to be a fun change for the kids and they played for a few hours.
The evening was filled with the rest of Harry Potter 1, which the kids apparentily enjoyed (I was doing a tour). It seems the movie wasn't too scary after all, and Noah really loved the Quittich matches. The both ask if we could watch the next one :)!
